Top Songs Featuring Bruno Mars

The music industry has been hesitant to name a new King of Pop since after Michael Jackson’s passing. Still, if there’s anyone who deserves the title (or at least a crown prince), it’s Bruno Mars.

In just four years, the then-obscure songwriter turned become one of the world’s most bankable pop stars, winning two Grammys and selling over 10 million copies of his albums Doo-Woops & Hooligans (2010) and Unorthodox Jukebox (2014). (2012).

9 Songs Featuring Bruno Mars

1. Billonaire ft. Bruno Mars

Travie McCoy: Billionaire ft. Bruno Mars [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

This is almost certainly going to be the first song that comes to anyone’s mind when they are asked to mention songs featuring Bruno Mars.

The singer in “Billionaire” fantasizes about all the wonderful things he could do with a billion dollars in the song’s lyrics.

Helping those in need (such as Hurricane Katrina victims), appearing on the cover of Forbes alongside Oprah and The Queen (Elizabeth II) of the UK and “playing basketball with the President” are just a few of the things he says he would do if he were independently wealthy.

Presumably, he means Barack Obama, the former President of the United States. Just so you know, Obama was frequently spotted playing basketball throughout his presidency.

McCoy elaborated on the song’s meaning in an interview with MTV. He claims that in the song he describes what he would do with a billion dollars if he ever came into such a windfall. He went on to say that the lyrics raise the issue of what one might do if suddenly endowed with a “good chunk of money.”

2. UPTOWN FUNK (WITH MARK RONSON)

Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk (Official Video) ft. Bruno Mars

In my Opinion this is one of the best songs featuring Bruno Mars if not the best. Bruno Mars truly left his mark on the song “Uptown Funk,” despite the fact that Mark Ronson, a producer best renowned for his collaborations with Amy Winehouse, was the one who came up with the concept for the song.

The song Uptown Funk was the result of a great deal of back and forth between Mars and Ronson, but their unwavering dedication to perfection helped it become one of the best Bruno Mars songs, peaking at No. 1 in both the UK and the US.

The song brings to mind both The Gap Band’s disco stride and Prince’s “Minneapolis sound” (Oops Up Side Your Head).

According to Mars, “the way we were doing it was so unorthodox, piece by piece,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “We were able to get a true sense of it when we eventually got together and picked up the instruments. The superpower then begins to work.”

3. PLEASE ME (with Cardi B)

Cardi B & Bruno Mars - Please Me (Official Video)

This collaboration with Cardi B, which marks Mars’ second time working with the rapper from the Bronx, demands to be heard and is best understood as being a component of Bruno Mars’ fixation with R&B music from the 1990s.

Mars and Dechard teamed together to direct the music video for Please Me, which features a sample of the R&B song “Freek’n You” by Jodeci, which was released in 1995. In the unabashedly sexual song, Mars implores Cardi to succumb to her desires.

4. You Should Keep the Door Ajar.

Silk

Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic - Leave the Door Open [Official Video]

Bruno Mars and Anderson.Paak are known collectively as the American band known by their stage moniker Sonic.

They released a song called “Leave the Door Open” as their debut. The group Aftermath and the record label Atlantic Records joined together on March 5, 2021, to release a song with a jazzy, R&B, and soulful vibe.

The song is a long, sultry invitation by Paak and Mars for a woman to come over to their place, during which they promise to always have the door open. They issue her a cheerful invitation, complete with a few playful come-ons and the assurance that she will enjoy herself.

5. Mirror / Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne - Mirror ft. Bruno Mars (Official Music Video)

The most important thing to note is that Lil Wayne is most likely referring to himself. He is talking about his previous lives, his current lives, and his future lives, and he is telling himself that you have been and will continue to be his number one friend.

He does not wish to revisit his past because he experienced some challenging times there. His current life is one that he takes great pride in. Not only does he not want to let down his family and friends, but he also does not want to let down his fans.

For his future, all he can hope for is a happy and successful life. despite the fact that he may believe the devil would encourage him to engage in sinful behavior.

He would prefer to change the negative things and turn them into positive things by making incredible music and producing it for the public, but he still maintains his faith in God, and he is concerned that his past life will catch up with him.

6. “Bad Meets Evil” featuring “Lighters” by Bruno Mars

Bad Meets Evil - Lighters ft. Bruno Mars

In a nutshell, the song is about the trials of following one’s dreams. This is illustrated by the song’s first lyric, “this one’s for you and me, living out our dreams,” which is sung by Bruno Mars at a high pitch.

This line’s meaning is clear-cut and, as a result, self-evident; specifically, the song they are singing is devoted to people who set high objectives and strive assiduously to attain them.

We’re all right where we should be, which is stated in the sentence after it, acts as a condition to the line preceding it.

In other words, the message conveyed by these two lines is that while everyone should have their own goals, the only people who will succeed in achieving them are those who never give up and fight for them.

The lyrics Eminem sang are simply an illustration of the obstacles people must overcome in order to pursue their aspirations. Eminem talks about his intense motivation to change his life in this segment.

He hopes to one day be king of an entire kingdom. He also put in a lot of effort to turn his ambition into a reality. Despite being a major admirer of rap music, he was unable to name even one well-known rapper.

He recognized an opportunity as soon as he heard this music and proclaimed, “This rap game’s nipple is mine for milking.” Because of this, he declared that he would achieve his full potential and rule the rap world.

“I vow to God I’ll be the fucking illest in this music, there is or there ever will be,” he bragged in this song. Since then, he has become the best rapper in the world. He was successful in realizing his goal.

Royce Da 5’9’s background is nearly identical. His life was a miserable existence. He cried a lot, and hard. He used to have to eat cat in order to get the pussy. This situation inspired him to improve his and his family’s lives. He made a silent promise to himself that he would never give up. He will persevere no matter what till he reaches the highest point in his field. His efforts have been fruitful.

When Bruno Mars sings, “you and I know what it’s like to be kicked down, compelled to battle,” he sums up Eminem and Royce’s struggle and puts an end to the situation. However, I believe we’ll be okay for tonight. So continue to shine your light. Let it sparkle.

7. B.o.”Nothin’ B.’s On You” is the song (ft. Bruno Mars)

B.o.B - Nothin' On You (feat. Bruno Mars) [Official Video]

The phrase “got nothing on you” refers to the idea that the person being praised is the best at whatever skill or ability is being praised. For instance, someone may something like other basketball players “got nothing on” LeBron James.

Within the parameters of this song, the person to whom the vocalist (or vocalists) are directing that expression is obviously his or her significant other. And as stated in the song’s chorus, Bruno admits that yes, he does in fact have the resources necessary to “chase beautiful girls all across the world.”

However, given that “they got nothing on” his real sweetheart, he chooses to maintain his devotion to the woman he loves. And with that, the tone of the song has been established.

Actually, at the beginning of the first verse, B.o.B takes it in a slightly different direction by initially noting how he used to be a playa.

This is his first point of differentiation from the general flow of the song. On the other hand, now that he has “sown his oats,” so to speak, he has come to the conclusion that maintaining such a way of life is foolish. Or, to put it another way, in the vocalist’s own words, he “lost more than (he) had ever won.”

It is not possible to determine what exactly that expression means in its current form. However, taking into consideration the statement that comes after it, it would appear that what he is trying to say is something along the lines of the fact that despite the fact that he had been with a great number of women, he was still unable to find love or was emotionally unfulfilled at the end of the day.

8. “Young, Wild, && Free”

Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa - Young, Wild and Free ft. Bruno Mars [Official Video]

A movie like 2012’s Mac & Devin Go to High School would be right up your alley if you prefer hip-hop inspired, marijuana-fueled antics.

The song that acts as the movie’s theme song is titled “Young, Wild & Free,” and it really has Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa as the main performers. And these two are also widely and undeniably recognized in the rap music community as being the most ardent cannabis users in the business. As a result, we already know pretty much where this is going to go before we even start.

For instance, the chorus is held down by another musician, Bruno Mars, who is infamous for his love of alcoholic beverages and illegal narcotics. And “being drunk” and “smoking pot” are “only” two of the ways that people like him and the other members of his vocal group “have fun.”

They do not view these actions as being shameful on their behalf, in other words. Because of this, they behave as though it “doesn’t matter who sees” what they are doing. And in their view, being let to act in such a way is equivalent to “living young… wild and free” — that is, how nature intended it to be.

The ability to express oneself without restraint is a theme of the song “Young, Wild, and Free.”

In truth, this song does not come across as one that is in support of marijuana in and of itself from the first verse, which is delivered by Wiz Khalifa. Instead, we can infer that the song’s main theme is the freedom of personal expression.

Because of this, the rapper in question is unable to completely understand why others should care about his clothing choices or his enjoyment of ganja smoking. Later on, he also goes into detail about his courteous interactions with both his male and female coworkers. To be honest, though, the song spends more time explaining Wiz’s obsession with smoking joints than it does discussing any other subject.

9. “Wake Up In The Sky”

Guci Mane, Kodak Blck, and Bruno Mars.

Gucci Mane, Bruno Mars, Kodak Black - Wake Up in The Sky [Official Music Video]

Last on our list of songs featuring Bruno Mars is “Wake up in the Sky” which was recorded with the help of the rappers Kodak Black, Bruno Mars, and Gucci Mane.

This song’s title makes clever use of the term “sky” to allude to how “fly” Gucci, Bruno, and Kodak are . The remarkable confidence that they portray is not entirely the product of engaging in activities such as excessive drinking, smoking, and drug usage.

The fact that they have the financial resources to support a luxurious lifestyle, complete with pricey cars and fine jewelry, is more significant. The girls pay a lot of attention to them as a result of their capacity to dazzle the ladies with luxury.
