1. “Better Days” By Dermot Kennedy

Dermot elaborated, saying that the song was all about having patience. No matter how challenging circumstances may become, one must always keep an optimistic outlook on the future and maintain faith that things will get better.

He further stated that in a time when so many people are feeling anxious and worn out, it would mean the world to him if this song could serve to reassure even just one person that things will get better.

He noted that as an artist, he has a sense of responsibility to attempt to improve people’s moods in some way, whether that be by inspiring them to think of someone they care about or just by keeping their minds off of their issues for the duration of a song.

Therefore, his contribution may be to bring a moment of comfort to some of the people who read it; that Better Days are on the horizon.

2. Dianne Reeves – Better Days

The song “Better Days” tells the narrative of a child’s relationship with his grandmother and the priceless inheritance that the latter bestowed upon her; which the youngster holds dear and has used as her guide as she travels through the different stages of her life.

It is important for the granddaughter to follow the path that God has mapped out for her life. During our time on earth, we are sure to face adversity and suffering. The grandma is referring to those evenings when she talks about them.

This lovely piece by Dianne Reeves provides lessons on maintaining composure, having faith in God and fate, and travelling through life without incident.

The path will not be easy, but those who are patient and put their faith in God are guaranteed to arrive safely at their destination.

One will never truly understand what it means to have a happy life until they have been through difficult circumstances and have been able to persevere through faith.

3. Bruce Springsteen “Better Days”

Bruce Springsteen - Better Days (Official HD Video)

This is one of my favourite songs about better days. After reading Bruce’s biography, I feel as though I have a deeper appreciation for this song today.

This song is not simply about his happiness; rather, it is about how he overcame his sadness to reach the happiest position he has ever been in his life at the time this song was written.

He makes a few jabs at the state of depression in general in a couple of his comments. But in general, it is a song about unadulterated joy and contentment, as if it were written by someone who spent a long time looking for happiness and has finally discovered it.

4. “Better Days” By The Goo Goo Dolls

Goo Goo Dolls - Better Days [Official Music Video]

This song is really about make this world a better place and changing things for the better.

The song was made available as a single in September 2005, when the United States was still struggling to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and was also engaged in an extremely divisive war in Iraq. During a difficult period, the upbeat music served as a source of comfort.

This song is about a person who can only hope for “better days,” which means that when everything is said and done, material possessions and objects will eventually become obsolete, but the emotional appeal that lies within will remain.

If it comes down to it, all you need to do is offer him happy days and forget about the material things, the money, and the possessions for once.

5. Better Days By Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher - Better Days (Official Video)

This is a song of encouragement in which Liam Gallagher offers reassurance to a loved one that life will get better in the future.

Even though they are physically separated by a great distance, the singer promises the woman that upon his return, they will meet each other in the pouring rain. In the interim, Gallagher’s affection will wrap itself around his sweetheart and carry her through the night.

6. Better Days By OneRepublic

OneRepublic - Better Days (Audio)

The song “Better Days” is intended to serve as motivation for listeners; as the name suggests. And even though it is not mentioned in the lyrics, the concept of this song is based on the notion that it was written right in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless, it is quite likely that the omission of the disease was done on purpose. As a result of the singer not elaborating on the specific form of pessimism that he and others are experiencing, the songs have a greater capacity for general application.

That is to say, they are adaptable to any circumstance in which an individual or individuals are experiencing a negative outlook on the present

In spite of this, the band believes that there will undoubtedly be “better days” in the future. This is the central idea that they are trying to convey.

To put it another way, the singer has faith that the day after tomorrow will be better than the day before it. Indeed, he is aware that a transition to a more favourable state might take place in what feels like the blink of an eye.

When OneRepublic released this song, they did so for one reason and one reason only, which leads us to the following conclusion: And that is to instil a sense of optimism in the members of the audience who are listening to the band at this difficult time for all of us, including the band members themselves.
