Top songs about body parts

Even though we might not admit it completely, the fact of the matter is that each of us finds a different part of the body to be attractive. Although many people believe that the eyes are the most attractive feature of the human body, in the end, this is a decision that is entirely up to the individual.

The phrase “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is absolutely correct. Musicians and songwriters working in a variety of styles have come up with imaginative ways to express their opinions regarding various body parts.

There are some songs about body parts that convey the literal meaning, but the vast majority of songs that mention parts of the body in their title or lyrics use parts of the body as a metaphor to represent a variety of feelings.

Songs That Send a Message Through Their Lyrics Using Different Parts of the Body

There are multiple possible interpretations of a concept or idea that can be conveyed by songs with titles that make reference to parts of the human body. Figuratively speaking, various parts of the body display varying degrees of ardor and affection.

Some musicians use their music to convey the exhilarating feeling they get when they are physically involved with their significant other. The lyrics of these moments can be ignited with either a touch or warm breath.

A double entendre is a figure of speech that can be used in certain songs to convey two different meanings, with the secondary meaning being intended to be socially awkward.

1. Shakira’s hit single “Hips Dn’t Lie” (ft. Wyclef Jean)

Shakira - Hips Don't Lie (Official 4K Video) ft. Wyclef Jean

This song is almost certainly going to be the first song that comes to anyone’s mind when they are asked to mention songs about body parts.

This song got its name from an expression that Shakira came up with in relation to her work in the music industry. In essence, the way the story goes, her coworkers would be able to tell by the way she moved her hips whether the song they were all working on was actually slapping or not.

However, as you are probably already aware, this song’s lyrics focus more on dancing in public. As was stated in the previous example, Shakira’s hip movement is an indication that she is emotionally invested in the music she is performing. The gyrations of her body, however, are what really get the attention of the men in the area, which is the primary focus of the song.

This point is driven home most convincingly by Wyclef, who raps about the mesmerizing effect the motions of a particular dancer, namely Shakira, are having on him and others who “cannot ignore the way her body moves.” Wyclef is the most effective proponent of this idea.

In point of fact, at first glance, the protagonist of this song seems to be nothing more than a faceless woman in the crowd. Once she steps onto the dance floor, however, she immediately becomes the focus of everyone’s attention.

By the time we get to the second verse of the song, we can clearly see that her dance was influenced by a man who is also representing in the same way. On the dance floor, her movements are essentially based on following the lead of this guy who has been described as being “half animal, half man.” This would suggest that the performance that they are giving is, to some extent, more free-spirited in its character.

Wyclef deviates from the main subject matter of this song during the second rap verse that he performs. Instead, he makes a reference to his extensive career as a rapper and the possibility that people of “Colombian and Haitian descent,” i.e. the nationalities that Shakira and he, respectively, represent, are subjected to oppression in the United States.

At this point, it’s important to point out that this song does, in fact, exhibit a significant amount of Latin American influence. In point of fact, a sizeable portion of the lyrics are performed entirely in Spanish.

2. Billie Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes”

Billie Eilish - Ocean Eyes (Official Music Video)

Next on our list of songs about body parts is by Billie Eilish the artist behind the love song “Ocean Eyes,” which she recorded when she was only 14. The narrator of this song (Eilish) addresses the person she has romantic feelings for directly. She likens the splendor of his eyes to the allure of the ocean, and she expresses to him how deeply she continues to immerse herself in it.

The song “Ocean Eyes” was not written by Eilish, so it cannot be considered one of her original compositions. It was composed by Finneas O’Connell, who is also a producer and songwriter. This song was originally written by Eilish’s real brother Finneas, who is a member of the band The Slightlys and is based in Los Angeles. On the other hand, he permitted Eilish to record it.

3. The Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand”

The Beatles - I Want To Hold Your Hand - Performed Live On The Ed Sullivan Show 2/9/64

The narrator of “I Want to Hold Your Hand” expresses his longing to be in a committed relationship with the woman he is developing feelings for throughout the entirety of the song. In the song, he uses seductive language in an effort to persuade the lady to choose him as her boyfriend or husband.

In the context of this song, holding hands could signify a close romantic connection between two lovers, or it could signify a marriage proposal, which typically involves a man holding a woman’s hand while putting an engagement ring on her finger.

In either case, the narrator makes his intentions crystal clear when he admits that he is the happiest whenever this lady is in close proximity to him. Because he is sure that he loves her and that she is responsible for the way he feels, he is always prepared to take her hand and travel the road of life together with her.

4. Meghan Trainor’s song “Lips Are Movin'”

Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin (Official Music Video)

Because she no longer places any trust in her partner, Meghan seems to imply in this song that she does not believe anything that he says, even if she hears it come out of his mouth. Due to the many different instances in which she has been lied to, she has reached the point where she believes that the person in question is a pathological liar.

In the subsequent verses of the song, Meghan sings about how she is sick and tired of her partner’s lies and the extramarital affairs that he engages in.  In point of fact, she is no longer interested in bearing with him. Even if her partner tries to pacify her with expensive gifts, she won’t be swayed from her decision to leave because she can still sense that he is having another affair. This is one reason why her decision to leave is so resolute.

In a commentary posted on Spotify, Meghan Trainor explained the meaning behind the song and revealed that it was about a coworker of hers who lied to her on multiple occasions. Because she wanted other people to be able to empathize with the situation, she chose to compare his behavior to the way that some boys lie to girls in romantic relationships.

5. “In My Head” by Ariana Grande.

Ariana Grande - in my head (Official Audio)

This masterpiece also reflects on songs about body parts. It is common knowledge among Ariana’s devoted followers what “In My Head” refers to. In it, she discusses the problem of falling in love with another person not on the basis of who they are in reality but rather on the basis of how you perceive them.

However, when it comes to the specific person that she is referring to, among her numerous previous relationships with high-profile individuals, two names stand out: Pete Davidson and Mac Miller, who sadly passed away.

Considering that Mac Miller passed away in September of 2018, it is possible that she is making a reference to him in some of the song’s lyrics.

For instance, she may be referring to him through the use of symbolism such as “angels.” However, the theory that she is referring to Pete Davidson, the person to whom she was engaged, is the one that has the best chance of being correct.

The phrase “I invented you” is used by Ariana in the bridge, which is where this assertion is most strongly supported by the lyrics of the song. And even though Davidson was already well-known for his own merits, what with him being a long-term cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” his current status as an A-list celebrity is a direct result of the fact that he is romantically involved with Grande.

Ariana is the only person she can ultimately point the finger of blame at for getting herself into the unfortunate situation of falling in love with someone based on her own imagination. It is also possible to deduce that the final impression she has of this individual is not a positive one.

In other words, he was unable to meet the standards that Grande had set for him and, according to her statements, he did not exhibit any type of personal development at all. The fact that she harbors such feelings unequivocally points to the fact that she was involved in a contentious breakup with the person in question.

6. Close My Eyes Forever

Lita Ford

I believe that the guy has made a number of attempts to let her know that he is interested in being with her; however, he has not been successful in doing so.

He is under the impression that the only way to successfully attract her attention is for him to take his own life, at which point he will permanently close his eyes. He ponders whether or not she would comprehend it at that point and give it some thought, or if she would even care, and whether or not anything would change as a result.

That is the first thing that comes to mind. When a large number of people are dealing with relationship issues, sometimes they consider ending their own lives.

7. The Police

Wrapped Around Your Finger

The Police - Wrapped Around Your Finger (Official Music Video)

It appears that the common interpretation of this song, which is that it is about a tumultuous romantic relationship, is incorrect. What is evident is that there is a power struggle involved, as the “vengeful” singer (Sting) finds himself at the mercy of the person whose “finger” he is “wrapped around,” only to later prevail over this individual.

This is the case because the person whose finger he is “wrapped around” has the upper hand. And as the reader is probably already aware, the phrase “wrapped around somebody’s finger” is another way of expressing the idea that the person in question exercises authority or control over you.

The singer does not have a particularly warm relationship with the individual who has such power over him. This is made abundantly clear when, in the second verse, he refers to this specific person as “Mephistopheles,” which is the Greek name for the devil.

And as the song draws to a close, the singer brags that he has finally gained control over this person and can now say with confidence that he has this person wrapped around his finger.

8. Alanis Morissette: Head over Feet

Alanis Morissette - Head Over Feet (Official 4K Music Video)

Alanis was stuck with no other option but to be with this guy. The guy repeatedly assured her of his affection for her and provided her with a great deal of assistance. In the event that she had a bad day, the guy would be there to console and support her.

Even though she consistently disregards him, she continues to trust him. Alanis comes to her senses and opens her eyes, which allow her to see that the guy genuinely cares for her. She begins to develop romantic feelings for him and later expresses gratitude to him for opening up her heart.

This guy and she get into trouble a lot, and when they do, they both lie to get out of it. He is a fantastic liar, in contrast to Alanis, who is only an adequate one. She has had enough of them lying to everyone else while they continue to have trust and love between one another. She makes several attempts to discuss the matter with him, but she is unable to do so because she is extremely in love with him.

Alanis points the finger at the guy, claiming that it is his fault that she is unable to stop herself from loving him. Alanis is in a serious relationship with her boyfriend, and in one of her songs, she questions why it took her so long to realize that she will be happiest with him.

9. “In Your Eyes” by The Weeknd

The Weeknd - In Your Eyes (Official Audio)

Last on our songs about body parts is In Your Eyes. The Weeknd is able to perceive that the addressee is going through some type of emotional distress despite the front she may be attempting to put up. In addition, it is clear that he is actually talking to a potential romantic interest in both of these scenarios.

The singer of this particular song, on the other hand, reveals that during the course of his search for love he did, in fact, become romantically involved with other women. Nevertheless, the entire time, the addressee was in fact “that was on his mind.”

To put it more succinctly, this is a love song with two distinct themes. On the one hand, we have the narrator coming to the realization that the woman he is committed to is truly the only one for him through the course of his romantic experiments with other women.

And on the other hand, he is aware that the experiments in question have resulted in a considerable amount of psychological suffering for her. Even if she makes an effort to cover it up, he is still able to see it “in her eyes,” which is how he is able to perceive it.
