Best songs with the name Emily in the title

Do you know anyone else that goes by the name Emily? What are your thoughts regarding them? I am going to guess that you are aware of the fact that they are incredibly kind folks.

What do you think? My younger sister is also named Emily, and in addition to being adorable, she possesses incredibly lovely vocals.

In addition to that, she is a major music fan, which she largely attributes to her high school music teacher. Because of her, I was motivated to put together this collection of songs with the name Emily in the title.

The majority of these songs are focused on mental health issues, interpersonal interactions, and, in a few cases, the narrator’s main character named “Emily”.

Below are the top songs with Emily in the title

The song is sad and desperate, and the lyrics reflect the man’s need to hold on to the girl. The song reflects the pain that addiction can cause in relationships, and how it can drive people apart.

Despite the man’s struggles, he is still pleading with Emily to stay with him and help him through his struggles.

The lyrics of the song show how much this relationship means to him, and how losing her would be devastating for both of them. Ultimately, it is up to Emily whether she wants to stay or leave, but the man in this song is clearly not ready to let her go.

The song “Emily’s Sister” is about a man who is a gold digger and chooses a partner who can give him a luxurious life. The lyrics describe how the man is always looking for someone new to date, and he is never happy with what he has.

He only wants someone who can provide him with wealth and luxury, and he doesn’t care about anything else. The song is critical of the man’s lifestyle, and it tries to warn other people about dating gold diggers.

5. Emily by Simon and Garfunkel

Simon & Garfunkel - For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her.wmv

Emily by Simon and Garfunkel is one of those perfect songs that just seem to capture everything about young love.

The lyrics are so simple and yet so beautiful, and the melody is just gorgeous. It’s one of those songs that you can’t help but sing along to, no matter how many times you’ve heard it.

I think what I love most about this song is how it captures the innocent joy of first love. There’s something so incredibly sweet and pure about the feeling of falling in love for the first time, and this song just seems to perfectly capture that.

It’s a feeling that we all long for, and I think that’s why this song resonates with so many people.

6. “See Emily Play” by Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd - See Emily Play

No other song has the power to move me as much as this one. It is about a child’s hopelessness, in my opinion. There is no such thing as a past or a future; all that exists is the perpetual present. This song is achingly lovely, and in my view, it is about a girl who is afraid of growing up.

She, too, is growing depressed as a result of it. I am extremely taken with this one line: “Emily sobs shortly after dusk. I am saddened by the trees, and there will not be any sound until tomorrow “This could be incorrect, but I believe this section of the lyric refers to Emily’s sadness worsening as night falls and her crying about it.

The next day, she does not speak or utter any sounds. The song then goes on to say that she likes to wear “a garment that brushes the earth,” which is a sign of matrimony, at the end. She has become a woman. She does not “play” as much as she used to when she was younger and happier. Pink Floyd is one of my all-time favorite artists.

7. “For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her” by Simeon & Garfunkel

Simon & Garfunkel - For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her.wmv

The first three verses tell the story of a “dream” that he had in which he met the girl of his dreams and they had an incredible time together as they were simply strolling through the city.

In the final line, he awakens, and although he fully expects it to be a dream, he “feels [her] warming and close,” and he realizes that this beautiful love he is thinking of is when he has it. After giving her a passionate kiss through his “grateful tears,” he is only able to utter, “I love you.”

It is a love song with a lot of joy and gratitude in it. One of the best songs with Emily in the title.

The song reflects on the man’s memories of their time together and his regrets. The song is sad and nostalgic, but also has an undertone of hope for the future. The lyrics are beautiful and the melody is catchy.

This song would be perfect for anyone who is missing someone they love during the holiday season.

13. “Little Emily” by Kari Kimmell

Kari Kimmel - Little Emily

“Little Emily” is a song about a little girl who ignored her dreams to please others and ended up loosing everything.

Emily was always a bright, cheerful child, but she never had the courage to pursue her own dreams. Instead, she listened to the people around her and did what they wanted her to do. But when she finally decided to follow her own heart, it was too late.

She lost everything and had to start over from scratch. Even though this experience was painful and difficult, Emily learned a valuable lesson that has stayed with her throughout her life: always be true to yourself, and never let other people dictate who you are or what you want to become.

14. “A Rose for Emily” by The Zombies

The Zombies - A Rose for Emily

I find this song to be unbelievably depressing. The rose mentioned in this song is a sign of love and the fact that Emily has an entire tree full of roses hints at the amount of love that she believes she has to give.

Her thoughts may be what is behind the chorus, informing her that “there is loving everywhere but none for you.” She passes away, never finally discovering somebody to love her; all of that “potential” for affection “fades away” as she does; hence, no one is saddened by her passing away because she was never loved.

15. “Emily” by Asia

The song “Emily” by Asia is about a man who is obsessed with a girl he knows named Emily.

The man is so in love with her that he can’t help but think about her all the time. He wants to be with her and spend his life with her, but she doesn’t feel the same way about him.

The man is heartbroken and struggles to let go of his feelings for Emily, even though she doesn’t love him back. Ultimately, the song is a powerful reminder of the pain that comes with unrequited love, and the lengths we will go to in order to hold on to our crushes.

16. “A Question for Emily Foreman” by Of Montreal

A Question for Emily Foreman

A Question for Emily Foreman is a love story in which the protagonist never gets all the answers he would like to have from the girl he loves.

The story follows the unnamed protagonist as he tries to unravel the mysteries of Emily Foreman, a beautiful and enigmatic woman.

Even though they are in love, the protagonist never quite understands her and often feels like he is in the dark. This feeling of alienation and frustration is what drives the protagonist to try to find out more about her.

17. Unsaid Emily by Julie and the Phantoms Cast

"Unsaid Emily" Lyric Video | Julie and the Phantoms | Netflix After School

The thirteenth song to be performed in Julie and the Phantoms is titled “Unsaid Emily.” It is performed on the eighth episode of the show that bears the same name.

This song is meant to be interpreted as a message that the character Luke, who is portrayed by Charlie Gillespie, penned for his mom Emily after he left home because of a quarrel.

The melancholy lyrics, which are accompanied by a calming vocal performance and an acoustic guitar, express Luke’s feelings of remorse over his connection with his mother.

18. Emily by Catfish and the Bottlemen

This song is part of Catfish and Bottlemen second major album- “The Ride”. The tenor of the tune gives the impression that Emily was about someone who had been a part of his existence in the past (perhaps an ex-girlfriend), and when Van runs across Emily again, he realizes how much has evolved in the time since they were united, and he appears astonished by Thistle’s presence.

19. Emily (Rough Mix) by  My Chemical Romance:

My Chemical Romance - Emily (Rough Mix)

This song tells the story of Emily, who is suffering from depression and has a death wish. She gets to know a boy and quickly falls in love with him, but she is still determined to end her life.

The young man wants his girlfriend to be happy above all else, and after observing how miserable she is even while they are together, he concludes that the only way to do this is for him to take his girlfriend’s life.

The narrator of the song is the boy, who laments his behavior and expresses a desire to be reunited with the subject of the song. however, he referred to her as a baby, which is a term that many married couples call each other. This is one of the best songs with the name Emily in the title.

20. Emily by Joanna Newsom

Joanna Newsom - Emily (with lyrics)

It appears to me that this song is about a particular kind of spiritual yearning; I can not think of a better phrase to describe what it is about.

The recurring imagery of birds, stars, and clouds suggests that the story is always looking upward, back into the dreamland; however, the protagonist is stuck in the real world, where people are swept away like rocks in a river.

This contrasts with the imagery of the dream world, which is always looking downward, back into the waking world. She yearns for a duality, a unity with something bigger than herself, something she can only allude to in song and perceive in fleeting times, and she can only express this need via music.

The protagonist views herself in many respects as the meteoroid, which is a lifeless rock that is void of any kind of flame.

But, interestingly enough, the meteorite is also the meteorite and the meteor when seen through a variety of perspectives… she both starts to feel the stronger force, the ‘fire,’ and is bereft of it. She can “see” the meteor, but she will never be able to identify the meteorite.

Without a shadow of a doubt, this piece of work exemplifies literary brilliance. Oh, and I find it to be extraordinarily emotional as well.

21. Emily from First to Last

From First To Last: Emily

Last on our songs with Emily in the title is from first to last. This song can make you feel either happy or sad, depending on your mood at the time. The song is ostensibly about a girl named Emily, with whom this particular individual has an unhealthy preoccupation.

He is currently involved in a long-distance relationship that is far superior to anything he has ever experienced close to home. He is head over heels in love with this Emily perhaps, and he is thinking that it will all be good enough to justify it when he eventually meets her in person and that nothing would ever prevent him from finding her finally.
