Songs With Me In The Title

The word “me,” is a very personal word, hence, artists use this word in their craft when they want to talk about themselves or something pertaining to their lives. We have a list of some songs with ‘me’ in the title and what they mean.

5 Songs with me in the title

1. It Ain’t’ Me By Kygo And Selena Gomez

Kygo, Selena Gomez - It Ain't Me (Official Video)

First on our list of songs with me in the title is this song by Kygo and Selena Gomez. This song sounds like the story of someone who has fallen out of love. And from the lyrics, the guy needs the girl because has been a huge support to this guy.

Staying strong in an unhealthy relationship is the song’s central subject. Selena’s ex-toxic lover’s behaviors are highlighted in the song as the cause of their breakup. Frustrated with her boyfriend’s constant absence due to his binge drinking and partying, she finally ended their relationship.

She is fed up now and she sings that she no longer cares, and the support she has been giving him, who is going to give him any of that now? Well, “it ain’t her.”

To sum up, the song is a wistful reflection on a love affair that fizzled out due to excessive drinking and partying.

2. Leave Me Alone By NF

NF - Leave Me Alone

This song sounds like the artist is suffering from some kind of mental illness. Well, the artist is indeed suffering from a mental disorder. NF has never hidden the fact that he has OCD, as he always makes references to it in his music, “Leave Me  Alone” just happens to be one of them.

NF has been “diagnosed with OCD,” but he also seems to have despair, low self-esteem, and a lack of conviction.

In reality, the inner turmoil that has arisen as a result of NF’s platinum success serves as the song’s primary focus. He has several “plaques” commemorating his achievements, but he keeps them “hidden within the closet.”

In addition, he pays little attention to his fan base because he avoids giving interviews and isn’t active on social media. And at the end, he exhibits a mindset in which he is not excessively interested in “famous,” a view he has also conveyed in prior songs.

This song is longer than your average rap tune because there is so much new information to reveal. However, its true focus is on the author’s wish to be “left alone” in his creative process. This puts him in the difficult position of a famous performer who does not want to be bothered by fans.

Additionally, it is unclear throughout the song to whom exactly he is referring when singing these lines. That is to say, it is not the world at large that NF wishes to “leave (him) alone” so much as his success, which can afflict him in the form of an inner voice.

3. Die for Me By Post Malone (ft. Halsey & Future)

Post Malone - Die For Me (Audio) ft. Future, Halsey

Disillusionment in relationships is the inspiration for “Die for Me,” a song by Post Malone.

Post, in his verses, sings a love song to a woman who captured his heart at first sight. Since then, though, he’s realized that she’s pretty “cold,”especially toward him.

And Future, as he must have known, was having none of that. In the beginning, he acts like a typical playboy. He speaks fondly of his time in the club with a certain woman, with whom he is developing romantic feelings.

Future gave her a wonderful time, but he was not interested in developing a romantic relationship with her. The implication is that she was already aware of this. She probably knows as much about Future as the rest of us.

By the end of the story, though, Future appears to have fallen in love and is hot on her trail. And it seems like she is the one who is currently unwilling to commit fully.

Next, Halsey walks in. It has been determined that the focus of her verse is on her prior love involvement with fellow rapper G-Eazy. And what she’s claiming is that their relationship’s problems sprang from his extramarital affairs.

The artists’ lovers are the ones who betray them in the chorus. This was evidenced by their partners’ claims of undying devotion that were not borne out in practice. Again, this theme of unrequited love serves as the basis for this song. More importantly, it focuses on the singers’ mistaken belief that their spouses were more committed than they were.

4. Without Me By Eminem

Eminem - Without Me (Official Music Video)

To understand Eminem’s “Without Me,” it’s important to remember that during the turn of the century, Eminem represented everything that the general public found repulsive about rap music.

Or, to put it another way, no artist’s lyrics have ever prompted as much public protest, especially from influential people and groups, as did those of Slim Shady. And that’s very much the problem he’s singing about.

Since it had been a few years since Eminem released an album, the album’s title and central topic are based on the rapper’s claim that the music industry had suffered for its lack of him. This is why he felt compelled to record music like this, to assure the public that Slim Shady is still very much a part of the game. And, true to form, he makes it a point to insult a few well-known figures along the way.

“Without Me” fulfills two main purposes in Eminem’s discography. By doing so, one is recognizing his enormous impact on the music industry and, by extension, American culture during its heyday. The second is to show his detractors and naysayers just how influential and successful an artist he was.

5. Hate Me By Juice WRLD And Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding, Juice WRLD - Hate Me (Official Video)

Last on our list of songs with me in the title is “Hate Me”. This song is an examination of the artists and their exes’ feelings against one another. And they aren’t always as cut-and-dry as their headlines might lead you to believe. Arguably, both singers are worried about their ex-partners in both songs, and vice versa.

Ellie is essentially taunting her former flame for continuing to have affection for her. She claims he misses her “so badly” that he’s “been going nuts.”

The song’s title refers to her mocking him for pretending to hate her while, in reality, he does not. On the other hand, Ellie “wishes he never dated her” because of how it affected her own life.

Juice WRLD, meanwhile, takes his typical emo stance on the matter. His ex probably doesn’t think highly of him because he acknowledges that he was not the perfect lover, alluding to the fact that he is a drug addict. However, she is essentially encouraging him to act in this way through her lack of love and affection.

In his estimation, she is someone who enjoys “playing… mental games” and who says things that equate to “hate him.” However, it’s clear that they still talk frequently.

Consequently, “Hate Me” is a song that delves into the complex range of feelings that accompany a breakup. It’s not always black and white when a relationship ends. These leftover emotions, both love, and hate, are the subject of this song.
