Adele - Someone Like You (Official Music Video)

This is one of the best songs with you in the title. This emotional song is about moving on from a previous relationship in the hopes of finding someone else who will bring back the sentiments that made the previous relationship so amazing.

Someone like you reveals Adele’s emotions as she breaks up with her boyfriend; sources say that was reportedly her first relationship.

If you’ve been in a relationship and broke up due to reasons beyond your efforts, this is an ideal music for you. Personally, this is one of my favourites because I was able to connect with the emotions; the loneliness and sadness that comes with losing someone you love (not to death).

3. “You are the reason” by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis

Calum Scott - You Are The Reason (Official Video)

Calum Scott, a British singer and songwriter, is the writer and performer of the song “You Are the Reason”.

For people who feel guilt over their actions in their previous relationships, and wish for a second chance so they would amend their wrongs, here’s one for you.

From the lyrics, Calum was going through a difficult time after the end of a romance. He desperately hopes that he can turn back the hands of time so that he can be with his lover once more, but it appears that it is too late.

It is very evident from his own statements that the reason this previous lover of his broke up with him was due to something that he did. He feels terrible about his actions and begs her to forgive him over and over again so that they can be together again.

Calum makes the statement that there is nothing in this world that would stop him from being with her once more and mending what he has shattered in the chorus of the song.

4. “You Belong With Me” By Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me

It is a love song about feelings that cannot be expressed, similar to many previous songs by Taylor Swift. The lyrics of this song are about the narrator, Taylor Swift, who is head over heels in love with her closest friend (A guy).

However, as fate would have it, her best friend is already taken by another woman. In addition, it is unmistakable that she is cruel to the man. As a result, the narrator takes in all of these facts and realizes that he should be with her.

The lyrics of the song are about Taylor Swift assuring the main character that she loves him and that he deserves more than his current partner who is not interested in him at all; hence the name “You Belong With Me”.

5. One Direction’s “Everything About You”

One Direction- Everything About You Music Video

This is a pretty standard rendition of a love song. The narrator talks about the indescribable affection he has for a girl that he adores with all his heart.

He has an intense love for her, and he adores every aspect of her. If you still have a doubt that loving someone can make you crazy, wait until you’ve played this song.

6. “Whatever You Like ” By T.I

T.I. - Whatever You Like [Official Video]

T.I. presented the world with this alluring song on July 29th, 2008 under his record label. The lyrics to “Whatever You Like” are not very complex or intricate in any way.

It tells the story of a narrator who is eager to give a girl he loves anything she wants so long as she accepts his proposal for them to get together and start a relationship with each other.

7. “You Found Me” by Fray

The Fray - You Found Me

“You Found Me” is a song that gives me a lot to think about. It is about the sorrow, the frustration, and the letdown that comes with living.

Every once in a while, you are the one who lets someone else down, and every once in a while, you are the one who someone else lets down. It becomes increasingly difficult to determine who you can rely on and who you can put your faith in.

I can not even begin to describe how incredible the song is. In my opinion, this song addresses every aspect of life, including God, and does it in a way that is both profound and accessible.

However, the song accomplishes something that other singers only try to achieve occasionally, and that is it reveals the emotional spectrum and genuine insecurities that all of us experience, but that we only seldom talk about.

8. “I Want You” By Savage Garden

Savage Garden - I Want You

The intricate metaphors that are employed in Savage Garden’s song “I Want You” are all meant as hints to the title of the song. The narrator describes a girl he has a crush on.

At some point, he admits that he has some reservations about whether or not he genuinely requires her assistance.

On the other hand, he is so in love with her that he is willing to put a whole relationship on the line in order to learn the answer.

From the lyrics, some parts can be interpreted in a manner that suggests a romantic event may have previously taken place between the two of them.

However, for the most part, and as was mentioned previously, this is an instance of him desiring someone that he cannot have at the present time.

Therefore, in addition to letting her know how he feels, he is also guaranteeing her that if given the opportunity, he will make it worthwhile for her to spend her time with him.
